Where the Prayers are like Weeds

This is my bittersweet love letter to the Midwest. These color photographs began in 2019, shooting hundreds to thousands of photographs on various formats that started to teach me more about the Midwest’s landscape and culture. This ongoing work serves as a perpetual study of this place that I once called home and still feel deeply connected to. From the vast cornfields to the tight streets of Chicagoland, the Midwest has been serving as a potent canvas for me to point my cameras toward. This work aims to show the viewers the subtle poetry of middle America.
