National Parks

Like many photographers, I began my journey with a camera by looking at the natural landscape. My love for nature has never faltered, going to parks around the country with various cameras to capture the land as thousands have before me. My intention with my landscape work is not to just photograph the iconic postcard scenes, but more to look at the intimate landscape, the small details and forms that are often overlooked. Since a cross-country road trip West in the late spring of 2018, eight years after I first picked up a camera, I have been pushing myself to see the natural landscape differently each time I strap on my hiking boots and throw my camera and tripod over my shoulder.
