Oak Street
2018
Oak Street is a street in Normal, Illinois. In the Winter of 2018, I was assigned to test nearly every twin-lens reflex camera in the Illinois State University photography program. One of those cameras came with me on a walk at night to a street near my old apartment. Oak Street is, in my mind, the epitome of Midwestern college town residential neighborhoods. The night and snow accentuates these tones on the black and white negative film I made these images with. What was originally a simple camera test turned into this body of work.
